NASDAQ: CBRS · AI Compute

Updated

Rated Watchlist, with a fair value of $135.85 against a last close of $127.21 (+6.8% implied upside). The shares reached the $125 to $135 range named on 1 October, but fair value fell with them to $135.85, so the margin of safety is not there and the watch price moves to $105 while OpenAI's funding and hardware questions stay open.

Base45%$144Revenue roughly triples with some friction; 2027 core revenue $2.85bn at 11x EV/sales.

The Case

Cerebras has a real speed advantage in inference, a $25.4bn backlog and about $7bn of net cash, and management plans to more than triple revenue in 2027. The price has fallen to the level once named as attractive, but counting the warrant shares, a lower multiple and a heavier bear case put fair value at $135.85, close to the price. The customer that anchors most of the backlog is reported to be smaller than its backers were told, and the hardware behind its newest fast tier is unconfirmed. The name becomes interesting at about $105, or sooner if third-quarter results show OpenAI billings accelerating.
