Bloom Energy Corporation (BE)

NYSE: BE · Electrical Equipment & Parts

Updated

Rated Watchlist, with a fair value of $221 against a last close of $217.77 (+1.5% implied upside). A record quarter and a third guidance raise lifted fair value to $221 while the price fell to $217.77, so the premium is gone, but a high-beta stock at fair value still needs a discount to buy.

Technical read (chart only): Confirms as of Before the results the shares were in a downtrend below the 20, 50 and 100-day averages and sitting on the 200-day; a reclaim of the 50-day near $249 followed by a higher low would be the first sign of a turn. The Watchlist verdict comes from the fundamentals alone. Recent Developments

DateDevelopmentImpact
Q3 2026 results and third FY2026 guidance raise

Revenue $1.24bn (+138%), non-GAAP EPS $0.94 against $0.69 expected; FY26 guidance raised to revenue $4.4bn-$4.6bn and non-GAAP EPS $3.10-$3.40; Q3 free cash flow -$181m.

Reading: Operating performance well ahead of plan; the open questions are cash conversion, an undisclosed backlog and EPS that carries almost no tax.

High
AEP 702 MW Cheyenne fuel cell plant for Google

AEP plans a $4bn, 702 MW Bloom plant near Cheyenne, Wyoming; Google has a 20-year PPA; construction from 2026, full operation targeted by end-2028; a December 2026 offtake milestone remains.

Reading: The largest named Bloom deployment; our estimate is $2.2bn-$3.0bn of Bloom revenue over 2027-2028, partly already in expectations. Raises fair value by about $22 but not the verdict.

High
Capacity toward 5 GW and Fremont expansion

Q3 capex $153m, $231m year to date; no timeline beyond 5 GW.

Reading: Supports the growth case but is part of why the quarter used cash.

Medium
Nebius New Jersey site, 300 MW

First block of power ready about two months after planning approval; management says Bloom will not be the bottleneck to 300 MW.

Reading: Evidence of speed to power, the core of the product's appeal.

Medium
Insider filings

A Rule 144 notice on 1 October and Forms 4 by an officer and two directors on 2 October.

Reading: A continued governance signal while the backlog stays undisclosed.

The Case

Watchlist, unchanged, on different grounds. In September the problem was a 34% premium to fair value. A record quarter and a third guidance raise lifted weighted fair value to $221, and the price fell to $217.77 before the results, so the premium is gone. What remains is a stock at fair value with a bull case of $344 and a bear case of $77, and a buyer is not paid for that spread. The AEP plant for Google strengthens 2027 and 2028 but does not change the verdict.

The view changes at $166 to $188, or on a dated backlog figure and a return to positive free cash flow. The biggest concern is that demand rests on a few capital budgets while the backlog that would show how much of 2027 is secured stays undisclosed.
